My work is inspired by nature and the natural forms that we see around us. I have a real sense of discovery, exploration and experimentation and the natural world is continually changing so there is a large canvas to explore.

One of the techniques in jewellery making that I am interested in is lost wax casting where you can create your forms in wax using a number of different techniques, from using organic forms, wax carving or wax manipulation. These final forms are then cast in metal.

The excitement and anticipation is that you are never exactly sure what the outcome will be especially if casting organic forms, and casting in place with precious gemstones.
